In 2008, Steve and Karen Morales walked away from corporate construction jobs to start something they believed was missing from Austin: a roofing company you could actually trust. Armed with two decades of combined experience and a fierce dedication to honest work, they founded S&K Roofing out of their South Austin garage.
The early years were about proving that doing things right — using quality materials, never cutting corners, keeping every promise — was a sustainable business model. Word spread fast in neighborhoods like Travis Heights, Bouldin Creek, and Hyde Park. By 2012, S&K had grown to a team of 12 and was handling commercial projects alongside residential work.
